Being one of the main hotspots for DNA nanotechnology in Europe, Munich hosts several research groups and startups that utilise DNA to advance diverse fields such as structural biology, single molecule biophysics, synthetic biology, biosensing, targeted diagnostics and therapy, nanorobotics, nanomaterials, and photonics. In order to foster fast local exchange of knowledge and experimental expertise amongst researchers and entrepreneurs, the DNA Node Munich was established in 2009.
Every two months, DNA nanotechnology researchers meet for evening seminars to discuss the most prominent and recent publications of DNA nanotechnology research groups from Munich. For more details about recent and upcoming events, see below.
