The four-semester program can be started in the winter semester as well as in the summer semester.
The language of instruction ist English.
The curriculum of the Master Meteorology (PDF, 94 KB) covers 4 Semesters. In the 1st and 2nd semesters, compulsory courses and elective courses from the various research areas of meteorology are attended.
The one-year Master's project (practical phases I+II and Master's thesis) takes place in the 3rd and 4th semester.

The studies can focus more on theory (dynamics and radiation of the atmosphere in theory and numerical models) or more on observation and measurement. The two fields are not strictly distinct in all fields.
