Master Thesis Projects

Master Thesis Projects in the Young Stars & Star Formation Group

Master Thesis Projects can be offered for Master Astrophysics or Master Physics students enrolled at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

Topics are related to the analysis and interpretation of observational data from young stars or star formation regions in different wavelength ranges (especially X-ray and infrared). More details can be found on this page.

If you are interested in a Master Thesis project, please send me an e-mail (please note that all e-mail communication should be exclusively done via your official LMU e-mail address, not via external e-mail providers!) containing the following information:

  • Your Study program (Master Astrophysics or Master Physics; please note that Master Thesis Projects can only be offered to students who are already officially enrolled at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München!)
  • List of previously attended astronomical courses
  • Desired start date of the project
  • A brief explanation of your motivation

Based on this information, an appointment can then be made for a meeting.

Please note: If you are not already officially enrolled in the Master Astrophysics or Master Physics program at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, you need to apply for our Master Degree program first (see this link) and complete your basic courses, before you can start a Master Thesis Project.
