Gruppe Aktiver Fachschaftika (GAF)
What is the GAF?
The Gruppe Aktiver Fachschaftika (GAF for short) is an association of student councils representing the following subjects:
Mathematics, Computer Science, Media Informatics and Physics including Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (TMP), Meterology and Astrophysics.
The GAF is mainly made up of more experienced students of these subjects, but is open to all students.
The most important tasks of the GAF
- Representation of students in university committees (e.g. faculty council, student parliament)
- Organisation of events and parties
- Administration of the Cafe Gumbel (B029, Theresienstraße 37)
- Organisation of the orientation phase for new first-year students
- Organisation of the physics teaching award "Der goldene Sommerfeld"
... and most importantly:
- Providing help and advice for students.
