More than 70 participants gathered in Cambridge in early October to discuss current questions in cosmology.
The meeting at the Kavli Institute for Cosmology is part of the strategic partnership between LMU Munich and the University of Cambridge. For years, the cosmology groups have taken turns visiting each other in Munich and Cambridge.
Over the three days of the conference, master’s students, doctoral researchers, postdocs, and professors discussed topics including the large-scale structure of the universe, the cosmic microwave background, the early universe, and new methods for analysing cosmological data. The talks and conversations offered opportunities to strengthen existing collaborations and develop ideas for joint research projects. Early-career researchers in particular were able to present their work and build connections across the two universities.
