CS3 2025 is an in-person event and part of the CS3 conference series. It will take place in the main building of LMU Munich.

About the Community

The CS3 community consists of providers, developers, and users of innovative Storage and Sync & Share systems and associated user environments and higher-level application services. Furthermore, CS3 reports on the progress in data science at all levels, namely local laboratories, regional collaborations, and global science. CS3 applications range from innovative big-data analysis to science outreach and education. We look forward to meeting old and new colleagues within the CS3 community. Reconnect, inspire and get inspired, learn from each other and have some fun together, too.

For Students: Are you passionate about IT?

Are you interested in pursuing a career at a university or a research institution in IT, rather than in Science? Do you enjoy writing code more than writing papers? Then visit us at the CS3-2025 Conference!

On Thursday, March 20th, don't miss our special "Student Cnect" session, where we will present opportunities for working in IT for science. Ask professionals from some of Europe's leading research institutes what it means to be part of the community, and learn about technologies that are often far beyond the possibilities of private companies.

For students, we offer both a free ticket for the Cnect session as well as a reduced ticket price for the whole conference.

The conference will take place in the main building of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in city center of Munich.

- the main building is located north of the old town
- Geschwister Scholl Platz 1, 80539 Munich

For Public Transport:
- Next stop: "Universität" (Subway or Bus)
- You can use the MVV App or your favorite Maps-App
- Please note: there are major track works on the U6 south of old town (south of Station Implerstr.)
- Also keep in mind, that public transport from/to Airport is between 40 and 60 minutes
