Areas of work/research

Verena Ruf studies cognitive processes during learning and problem solving with multiple representations. The focus of her research are abstract representations, such as the role of given graphs or graphs generated by the learners themselves. Apart from product measures, such as surveys, she uses process measures, such as eye tracking. Furthermore, she is interested in machine learning to analyse learning behaviour and facilitate learning.
