Salome Flegr first completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of Ulm (2012-2015). She then completed a Master of Education in physics and mathematics for secondary school teaching at the University of Stuttgart (2016-2019). From 2019 to 2022, Salome Flegr was an external doctoral student at the chair of physics education at TU Kaiserslautern (now: RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau) and a research associate at the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM) Tübingen, supervised by Prof. Dr. Jochen Kuhn (TUK/RPTU) and Prof. Dr. Katharina Scheiter (IWM). Salome Flegr completed her doctorate in January 2023 with summa cum laude. Since summer 2022, she has been a postdoc and research associate at the chair of physics education at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
During her studies, Salome Flegr already worked as a substitute teacher at a secondary school in Stuttgart and as a lecturer at Aalen University. Parallel to her work at the LMU Munich, she is again working as a substitute teacher at a Munich secondary school.
