Lynn Knippertz's research focuses on learning processes related to linear functions in mathematics and physics. She uses process-based methods such as eye tracking, among others.

As a member of the AI team, she researches how learning processes can be analyzed and improved with the help of artificial intelligence. Transferring research results into practice is a matter very close to her heart.

Short biography

Lynn Knippertz first completed a bachelor's degree in mathematics (2013–2017) and then a teaching degree in mathematics and physics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (now: RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, 2017–2020).

She then completed her doctorate in the Department of Mathematics in the Optimization Working Group, also at RPTU (2020–2025). The title of her dissertation is “Linear Functions – a Matter of Context? Toward Understanding Students’ Learning Processes in Mathematics and Physics”.
