Areas of work/research

Shuran Liu is a research associate at the Chair of Physics Education at LMU
Munich. As part of the XR team, her research focuses on the use of Augmented
Reality (AR) in physics education. She is particularly interested in developing
and evaluating innovative teaching methods that integrate AR technologies to
make physics concepts more tangible and interactive. Her work explores how AR
can enhance the understanding of complex topics, support learning processes,
and increase students’ interest in physics.

Short biography

Shuran Liu completed her studies in physics, during which she wrote her bachelor’s
thesis in the field of physics education. During her studies, she worked for
several years as a tutor and developed a strong interest in teaching. This experience
laid the foundation for her transition into educational research, where
she now focuses on the use of Augmented Reality in teaching.
