Areas of work/research

Yajie Liang investigates how augmented and virtual reality technologies can improve physics learning. To this end, she is working on the development of applications and empirically testing their learning effectiveness.

Short biography

Yajie Liang completed her BSc and MSc degree in Physics at Heidelberg University (2016-2024). In her bachelor thesis she worked on numerical simulations of protoplanetary discs, in her master thesis she focused on analytical calculations on cosmic structure formation and gravitational theory. She is also involved in a project to analyse black hole populations using gravitational waves. She also developed an augmented reality app for Zurich Zoo in 2020 and has been active in scientific communication involving physics, mathematics and computer science since 2021. She also gained experience in scientific project management.
